Resource: COVID-19 Advisory

Concerns related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have spurred interest in dietary supplements and alternative therapies with purported “immune boosting” effects. Consumers may think that, by boosting immune function, these products or therapies help the body fight off COVID-19. But there’s no good evidence this is true. The FDA continues to send warning letters to companies selling fraudulent products with claims to prevent or treat COVID-19. Refer to our regularly updated COVID-19 Advisory for the latest on ingredients contained in products that have received these warnings, including the potential safety concerns of some of these ingredients.
