Keep an eye on products marketed for opioid addiction, including kratom and herbal smoking blends. Despite online posts suggesting otherwise, the safety of smoking herbal blends is unknown – discourage patients from buying these products or creating their own blends at home. There are also several recent case reports that describe serious side effects associated with kratom. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
