Fenugreek Extract Reduces Menopausal Symptoms

A new clinical trial shows that taking a standardized fenugreek extract (FenuSMART) 1000 mg daily for 90 days significantly reduces night sweat scores by 57.1%, mood swings by 68.2%, insomnia by 75%, and headaches by 53.9% when compared to placebo in menopausal women. Additionally, by the end of treatment, about 32% of women taking the fenugreek extract reported no hot flashes at the all, while 47.8% had a significant reduction from an average of 3-5 hot flashes daily to 1-2 daily.
